In 1972 Garth Swan acquired Yellow Cab and Diamond Grey to form United Cabs. His desire for business and being a local to the City of Saskatoon inspired him to continue his passion for transportation and hospitality.

To elevate the companies customer service and the growing demand of Saskatoon's population, a portion of taxis were transformed into Blueline Taxi in the 1990s as 'chauffeur service at taxi rates'. With this branch, The United Group was formed.

To go a step further on expanding hospitality, Prestige Car Service bought Quality Cab in 2005 and joined The United Group with the motto 'the difference between getting there and arriving!'
